Our story
How LVR Records Began and Where We’re Headed
Limitless Voices Records (LVR) started with a simple but stubborn idea: talent shouldn’t have to overcome poverty, geography, or industry gatekeepers to be heard. What began as late-night studio sessions and community workshops quickly became a mission-driven label built to remove barriers, create fair pathways, and put real resources behind artists who’ve been overlooked.
LVR was founded by a 3 high school colleagues who’d each seen the same pattern: brilliant local artists with huge potential but no reliable access to training, recording time, or industry know-how. We pooled what we had—studio hours, industry contacts, modest funding—and launched pilot programs in underserved neighbourhoods. Those pilots taught us two things fast: the creative work was exceptional, and a scaffolded, long-term approach was essential to turn potential into sustainable careers.
How We Measure Success
Success for LVR isn’t just streams or chart positions. We measure:
Artist skill growth (performance reviews & mentor reports)
Career sustainability (income diversification and repeat bookings)
Community impact (workshop attendance, scholarships awarded, new local opportunities created)
Fairness metrics (timely payments, percentage of artists retaining ownership of masters or having favourable licensing terms)
Partnerships & Funding Model
LVR Records is built on the strength of its community. Our model depends on sponsorships with studios, local businesses, and supporters who share our vision of opening doors for underrepresented talent. By partnering with educators, venues, and creative hubs, we’re able to provide resources that go far beyond what a traditional label offers. This community-driven foundation ensures that our growth is sustainable, collaborative, and fair—no predatory advances, no hidden terms, just transparent opportunities. At its core, LVR is more than a label; it is a community built by and for the artists it serves.
A Note About Values
We centre dignity, consent, and inclusion. LVR champions artists from every background and is committed to anti-discrimination, cultural respect, and ethical representation. We protect the creative rights of the people we work with and always aim for agreements that can be easily understood and fairly enforced.
